Topowa, Arizona

Lang Wyatt served as general contractor on $3.9 million in improvements to convert an existing elementary school into a high school campus.  The campus is at a remote site on the Tohono O’Odham Indian Reservation, and was subject to some tribal control, although the construction contract was executed with the Indian Oasis-Baboquivari School District in rural southern Arizona, outside Tucson.

New science classrooms and labs were built, along with a new classroom pod, vocational and agricultural training facilities with shops, and complete secondary-level, interscholastic athletic facilities.  All work was completed while school was in session and were integrated into the total campus, with connecting utilities and special systems.
